ABSTRACT

Objective@#To evaluate the immunity and influencing factors of diphtheria among preschool children in Shenzhen,to provide reference for effective monitoring of diphtheria IgG antibody level in preschool children.@*Methods@#Serum samples were collected from 296 preschool children aged 4-6 who were recruited in Shenzhen. The diphtheria antibody titer in serum was determined by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay, and the effect of different immumuzation schedule including types of vaccine and vaccination timing, on the geometric mean concentration (GMC) of diphtheria IgG antibody and antibody positive rate were analyzed.@*Results@#The GMC of diphtheria IgG antibody was 0.71 IU/mL, and the positive conversion rate was 33.1%. There were significant differences in antibody GMC and antibody positive conversion rate of diphtheria in different age groups( F/χ 2=11.77, 27.45, P < 0.01 ). The GMC and antibody positive conversion rate showed significant differences by diphtheria antibodies, vaccine types and end dose vaccination intervals( F=49.53, 12.95,11.61, P <0.01). There were statistically significant differences in the positive conversion rate of diphtheria antibodies in children with different types of diphtheria antibodies, vaccine types of diphtheria antibodies, and diphtheria antibodies at the time interval of final vaccination (Fisher exact probability method, P <0.01).@*Conclusion@#The overall positive conversion rate of diphtheria antibody in preschool children in Shenzhen is high. Timely completion of full diphtheria vaccination can improve the antibody level and plays a better role in protecting preschool children.

ABSTRACT

Objective To explore guide adult giant young cell anemia cause. Methods Retrospective analysis 48 cases adult giant young cell anemia clinical data. Results The adult giant young cell anemia majority in elderly patients of(34/48) 70.8% ,its cause a majority in gastrointestinal diseases (41/48) for 85.4% , among them 9 cases of chronic gastritis(18. 8% ) Gastrointestinal diverticula 8 cases, the digestive tract of release, duodenal ulcer and gastric 16.7% each 4 cases total resection for 8.3, hiatal hernia and gastric ulcer each 3 cases of gastric polyps, oral 6.3% lesions, jejunum resection 2 cases 4.1 percent of all the rest a few Crohn,Crohn's disease, intestinal lymphoma, chronic colitis each 1 case of 2.0%.The gastrointestinal lesions accounted for only 14.6% cases. Conclusion Giant young cell anemia majority with old people, and to the digestive system disease primarily

ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate the roles of oxidative stress and inflammatory reaction in pathogenesis of endothelial dysfunction and atherosclerosis in patients with chronic renal failure(CRF).Methods 63 CRF patients were divided into non-dialysis group and hemodialysis group and 27 healthy volunteers were involved in the study. The levels of plasma malondialdehyde(MDA) were determined by thiobarbituric acid reaction, the activity of glutathione peroxidase(GSHPx) was mearsured by spectrophotometry, plasma nitric oxide(NO),high-sensitive C-reactive protein(hs-CRP),endothelin-1(ET-1) and tumor necrosis factor(TNF)-? were determined by sensitive enzyme-linked imunosorbent assay(ELISA).Results Levels of plasma MDA,hs-CRP,IL-6,TNF-?and ET-1 in CRF patients were higher than those in healthy controls, while NO,GSHPx were lower than those in healthy controls and hemodialysis aggravated these changes.Multivariate stepwise regressive analysis showed that ET-1,vWF and NO were related to MDA,TNF-?,hs-CRP,Cr(R2=0.502,0.631,0.476,respectively,P

ABSTRACT

Objective To explore the relationship between homocystine(HCY) and diabetic nephropathy and uremia in the patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Methods 20 cases with type 2-DM,20 cases with incipient diabetic nephropathy and 17 cases with uremia were collected. The plasma levels of HCY were measured by FPIA,the fasting blood sugar were measured by standard automated clinical chemistry laboratory methods. The plasma levels of HCY were compared with each other with t test. Results The plasma levels of HCY between the type 2-DM and diabetic nephropathy were significantly different,(26.16?12.31)?mol/L vs (8.79?3.51)?mol/L,P

ABSTRACT

Objective To study the relationship of serum leptin and inflammation with nutrition status in continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis(CAPD) patients. Methods 30 CAPD patients and 30 healthy controls were enrolled in the study.Leptin was measured by ELISA,inflammatory factors C reactive protein(CRP),IL-6,TNF-?.These patients were classified to three nutritional categories based on SGA normalnutrition,mild-to-moderate malnutrition, and severe malnutrition. Results CAPD group had significantly higher serum leptin, peritoneal dialysis fluid leptin,insulin,CRP,IL-6 and TNF-?,lower serum Alb than the control group.IL-6 was significantly positive correlation with TNF-?.Serum leptin was no correlation with Alb,CRP,IL-6 and TNF-?.Conclusion Serum leptin and inflammation are closely related to the occurrence of malnutrition in CAPD.
